On the occasion of the opening of Toni Alfano‘s solo exhibition EROS OF TIME, SENSI ARTE Gallery hosted “Eros of Time – Eros, the Desire that Creates”, an event exploring the relationship between art, philosophy, and contemporary research. The conversation was organized by the cultural association DialogArti in collaboration with SENSI ARTE and Flōs47.
Curated by Clizia Miglianti and Angelo Petraglia, the event featured artist Toni Alfano, who guided the audience through the core themes of his artistic practice, centered on time as a generative and transformative force. At the heart of the discussion was the concept of Eros as a creative impulse—an energy that gives birth to the artwork, permeates it, and continually reshapes it, revealing beauty not as a fixed image but as an evolving process.
Enriched by an immersive live set, the event offered the audience a space for listening, participation, and reflection, where art, spoken dialogue, and sound came together to investigate the meaning of artistic creation and the role of contemporary art as a tool for knowledge and critical engagement with the present.
With this event, the Gallery inaugurated its new exhibition season, reaffirming its commitment to fostering meaningful encounters between artists, artworks, and the public, while encouraging deeper engagement with contemporary artistic research beyond the exhibition itself.
